In St Mary & All Saints, Bingham Parish Church, Nottinghamshire.

The inscription reads -

An amazing memorial! Are those really the original medals that are displayed? Hopefully not, but, if so, the VC must be the most insecurely housed medal of its kind anywhere in the world.

It's quite a recent memorial. The Nottingham & Nottinghamshire Victoria Cross Committee was created with the intention of giving each of Nottinghamshire's V.C. winners a permanent memorial.

I've not recorded any memorials to Sgt Beet, so it is good to see he has been honoured in his birthplace.
