There are two Boer War plaques in Kendal parish church:
1) In the Border Regiment chapel - In commemoration of those who served in G & H companies of 1st Volunteer Btn.The Border Regiment
2) At the rear of the church - In remembrance of casualties of Border Regiment, St Johns Ambulance, and 24th Imperial Yeomanry.
