Dave - Above I have added the details for the newspaper clipping. His death was reported with varying detail in lots of newspapers, I chose the one I did because it contained a likeness of him.

Do you subscribe to Ancestry? If so do a "Public Member Trees" search entering his full name, year of birth & year of death and it will take you to his profile on a "Horsfall Family Tree" where is listed every document you need including his South African death certificate which tells you he died of "acute nephritis" in No.11 General Hospital, Kimberley. They have even found his Imperial Yeomanry attestation papers & service records showing his regimental number was 1966 and he embarked for SA on 28 January 1900 as a member of the 11th Company, 3rd Battalion IY.

Here is the hospital he died in:

Regards, David.

Hi Smethwick and DaveF thank you both for replying to my post, I don't have ancestry, but a friend of mine is having a look for me, it amazing how much information is out there, I'm not really up to date with the Anglo Boer War, but researching Bernard Behan got me interested, please keep up the good work. Kindest Regards DaveC, I also think I need some new glasses, I don't know how I missed the newspaper articles date.
