Hello I am researching a soldier off the Shropshire L.I., who served in the Boer War and later died off enteric at Poona India in September 1902
Has anyone seen or photoraphed pre WW1 graves at the St. Sephecular cemetery Poona
I have tried the relevant sites but found nothing
Only document found is a date off death and burial record for 1902

Find a Grave has 127 entries pertaining to the cemetery you refer to and as you mentioned, very few images of actual grave stones, markers or memorials. If your man was buried in the East Gate section of the cemetery. The information below may explain why there are very few images of graves.

"St Sepulchre Cemetery Poona- Note: The East Gate section of the cemetery is totally in ruins with thick growth -high grass and trees and infested with snakes."

very interesting but I am not surprised so far away and no one to tend the graves sorry the CWWG was not in operation in the early days
