AGED 44 YEARS.
WITH CHRIST WHICH IS FAR BETTER
ALSO OF JOHN WILLIAM WILSON
THE ELDEST SON OF THE ABOVE
WHO DIED AT BLOEMFONTEIN SOUTH
AFRICA ON FEBRUARY 20TH 1902
AGED 22 YEARS.

THY WILL BE DONE.
ALSO CHARLES EDWARD
SECOND SON OF ABOVE
WHO DIED NOV. 2ND 1911
AGED 30 YEARS
AT REST.
ALSO OF FRED, THE FIFTH SON OF THE ABOVE
WHO LOST HIS LIFE ON THE DANISH ISLAND
OF SALTHOLM, ON AUGUST 19TH 1915,
AGED 29 YEARS.



Fred Wilson was a Stoker 1st Class on H.M. Submarine E.13. Despite dying in Denmark, he's buried here, as the Danish Goverment returned the bodies to the UK.

J W Wilson died of disease while serving with E Division of the South African Constabulary.

His brother's death was tragic - the submarine ran aground, and the following day two German torpedo boats breached Danish neutrality and fired on the E.13, killing 14 crew members.
