In one of the Roman Catholic sections of Burnley Cemetery.






PRAY FOR THE SOUL OF
ELLEN
BELOVED DAUGHTER OF
JAMES & BARBARA BIGGINS
DIED SEPT. 28TH 1899, AGED 19 YEARS.
ALSO PHILIP, THEIR SON
DIED AT BLOEMFONTIEN, SOUTH AFRICA
MARCH 20TH 1901, AGED 24 YEARS
.
ALSO THE ABOVE BARABARA BIGGINS,
DIED JAN. 15TH 1906, AGED 65 YEARS.
ALSO JAMES, THEIR SON,
DIED SEPT. 4TH 1906, AGED 36 YEARS.

……The family home was in Leyland Road, Burnley.

ILLNESS AMONG THE EAST LANCASHIRES.
……In the 3rd East Lancashire Regiment Ptes. W. Berry (9503) and P. Biggins (7278) are reported to be ill in South Africa, as also is Second-Lieutenant H. S. L. Hemming, of the same regiment.

That's a very nice gravestone, although it looks like something may have been attached to the top of it, but now lost. Perhaps a cross?
