Interesting this - Lewis died in February not April according to the Times, SAFF casualty roll and Soldier's Effects.

"3058 S/S/M Thomas Lewis" of 1st DG, died of disease, Bloemfontein, 2/2/02. Entitled to QSA with clasps CC/OFS/TV/01/02..

He's named on the 1st King's Dragoon Guards' memorial plaque in Manchester Cathedral.
