Grant of above approved “to all officers, Warrant Officers, N.C.O’s and men of the militia including the permanent staff, who served on garrison duty with these units at Gibraltar, Malta, or in Egypt, between the 11th October 1899 and a date to be hereafter fixed."

Subsequently fixed as 31 May 1902.
