A very long shot but trying to locate the medals of a relative. Pte. Richard McCormick of the Royal Irish Fusilers. Service number 5410.

he was awarded the Queens South Africa Medal which bore 3 clasps - Orange Free State, Transvaal & Talana.

His Kings South Africa Medal bore both date clasps as one would expect considering his service dates.

If anyone has these medals, please contact me. I would be happy to have a photograph, but if willing to sell, we can have a worthwhile discussion.

As he is listed as R McCormack on the RIF QSA & KSA medal rolls I would assume his medals would also be impressed R McCormack (his correct name).

Thank you for pointing that out Smethwick. Strangely, he signed as "McCormick", even on the enlistment papers, yet the medal will ikely be "McCormack" as you indicated.
