For all those who have kindly donated to the cause, the training for next week's ride continues...

For those who haven't yet donated, there is still time and it would be greatly appreciated by the Colonel's Fund which supports Grenadiers wounded in Afghanistan: www.justgiving.com/Justin-Davies

And here's a reminder that some things haven't changed since the Boer War (the Home Service order of dress). I wish I could say the same for my waistline some twenty years after this photo was taken at Trooping the Colour 1994!

All best wishes,

Justin

Good morning Justin,
I wanted to again wish you bon chance and I hope the weather stays reasonable for you.
Now then, just between you and I, just how is that "spin wheel" affected on Her Majesties birthday?
I bet you knew Perry Mason too did you not?
Kind regards Frank

Okay, I'm thinking it's a trade secret and you don't want to tell me? :(

Frank,

Many thanks for your best wishes for the ride, which starts tomorrow. Reveille at 0600 hrs!

Yes, the spin wheel is a trade secret, carefully guarded by the Bands so even I don't know it!

All best wishes,

Justin
