Hello,
All I have is the initials and 1899.
How do I search all the surnames starting with"u" for instance?

The data is stored in an Excel file and this has then been zipped.

If you need it in CSV format, please let me know.

there are several hundred men there so I nope you find some possible matches. It should be noted though that the list you have does not contain all the surnames starting with U in the Boer War.
