I have been searching for quite some time for a picture of the 3rd (Renfrewshire) Volunteer Battalion, Princess Louise's (Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders) that completed their training and left for the 2nd Boer War from Stirling Castle. I've managed to find pictures of other volunteer battalions but not this one... Posting on off chance someone may have a copy, 🤞

Have you tried, William Lamont's, Volunteer Memories (Greenock: James McKelvie & Sons, 1911)? He was Commanding colonel of the 1st (Renfrewshire) V.B. Princess Louise’s Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. You can find the book, with illustrations at
