Puck was the first successful humour magazine in the United States, comprising colourful cartoons, caricatures and political satire. It was founded in 1876 as a German-language publication; Puck's first English-language edition was published in 1877 and it folded in 1918.

The past is not dead. In fact, it's not even past.

Drawing by an unidentified artist. It bears similarities to Bruce Bairnsfather's work, but he would only have been 14 or 15 at the time of the ABW.

I let AI do its thing with this photograph of Albrecht's Krupp 75mm BL gun on Carter's Ridge, Kimberley, and was amused by the results....

This is what AI came up without any direction from me.
