Furthermore, I claim a war pension for my wound for which I am still suffering from and hope this is good enough for you.”

A bit of a mixture of Dutch and Afrikaans here. The translation captures the gist of it, but a more direct translation might be :

With reference to your letter 15-4-47, I must inform you that I was in Kroonstad for five months with my wounds and also in Merebank Camp Natal until peace was concluded. Furthermore, I draw a war pension for my wounds, because I still suffer from the wounds today. Hoping that this is sufficient for you, I remain your servant

I take it that he applied for a Wounds Riband in 1947 (or is 15-447 the file reference number of the letter to which he was replying?)
