Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen......

Here is my latest posting of Boer War Collectibles......

It is a framed silver presentation plaque of Kipling's Absent Minded Beggar..... Found this in London in 2006, had a great time going through customs in both UK and Canada but since it was over 100 years old did not have to pay any duty.....

Presentation Plaque: PRESENTED BY THE BOROUGH OF REIGATE, IN RECOGNITION OF LOYAL SERVICES IN SOUTH AFRICAN WAR 1900-1

Size: Frame - 14 Inches by 11 ¼ Inches
Plaque - 11 ½ Inches by 7 ½ Inches

Weight: Silver 840 Grams, 29.6 Oz

Manufacture: Cast Silver, Frame Oak

Maker: D. George Collins, Manufacturing Silversmith, 119 Newgate Street, London

There is a signature by the lower left foot but the plaque has been polished to many times and I am afraid I cannot make out what it says.....

Again I have never seen one this size for sale just the small cased version.....

Had to take pictures from the side due to reflection from flash.....
