Hi , first of all thanks to the creator , administrators and all the people contributing to this site.
1)Does anyone know if there are actual ship manifests with names available for POW’s transported to India?
I have found the microfilm which indicates that the person of interest were received in Natal or Cape Town on the 4th of April 1902 and was receipted in Cape Town and Natal which is on the microfilm record. There were only 3 ships that departed on and after this date to India but there is no camp indicated which makes me think that perhaps the British new the war is coming to an end and some of these prisoners may have never boarded these 3 ships to India?
2) If the person did get on the ship is there no transportation records for when they returned and the dates or microfilm data? Many Thanks
