I have this medal with 3 clasps Johannesburg, Paardeberg & Relief of Kimberley. Naming is in the Engraved Italic style, no Force number just Lieut J.G. Van Bunren. I have gone through all 244 pages of the A.S.C medal roll and cant find him. Any help would be appreciated in confirming that this medal would be appreciated

I assume the man with that name in WO100/349 is him in respect of the KSA?

I think you will find that the surname is Van Buuren - I remember looking at this medal when it came to market but was put off by the absence of the KSA

Hello Rory,
Was this man's name actually Buuren, or,Bunren, the issue I would have, is simply that the craftsmen at Woolwich would simply name a particular medal with the recipients name as it had been transcribed on the roll from which they worked.
Just from the photographs in the original post, I would, certainly, on the face of it, be happy with that medal, notwithstanding the lack of the KSA would be a factor to consider.
Regards Frank
