Good Afternoon Everyone......

I have obtained a small booklet called Identification Data on British War Medals and Their Interpretation by James R. Power, Associate Editor, The Medal Collector, Orders and Medals Society of America..... Also The Addenda and Corrigenda (2)..... I do not know when these were published.....

There are some very interesting listings in it especially for South Africa.....

Just wondering if anyone else has a copy of these booklets and what do they think of their accuracy......

I have never heard of such. What do these booklets actually identify? Do they interpret ranks or units or ..........?

Linney.....

What it gives in the SA section re the Boer War is some information on units......

For example the one I was looking at:

CAPE INFANTRY: 1882 - 1886, Battalion of Reservists. Some Officers and Men transferred to the CMR. Disbanded 1886, but a small unit of same name raised 1899 for Line-Of-Communications duty.
