Michael Kaplan is offering a no clasp QSA with the rank of Asst-Comp D. Manager. The medal is intriguing because there is no unit listed.

Checked the rolls, R M Bradford is listed on the IMR (WO100/252p251) as serving in the Army Labor [sic] Dept, Johannesburg.

Is the rank Assistant Compound Manager perhaps?

Sorry just saw this - Assistant Compound Manager it is , most likely one of the compounds where black labourers attached to the IMR stayed.
