Good morning,
My question is about a blurry low resolution picture showing the RWR during a campaign in South Africa & that I found at a (unresponsive) blog. As you probably know, the RWR are known to have kept a line of Indian Blackbuck antelopes as regimental mascots, all named Bobby. This 200-year long tradition stopped in 2005 for reasons of animal welfare. The picture that I attach is allegedly showing the RWR (1880-1900?) with an antelope by their side. However, this animal is not a Blackbuck, it is a SA Springbok or a Thomson's gazelle (differencation impossible to make from this low resolution and distance).
I was hoping that someone at the forum could shed some light on this case or provoide me with some useful threads.
Sincerely,
Benjamin Thyla
