I would appreciate any help identifying the location of Bessies Pan and Middlepan where an action took place on 11 August 1901 wherein some SAC fellows were WIA along with, I think, some Canadians.

Nothing seems to have been written about these spots in any of the histories I have consulted. the closest, on this Forum, is a post by QSAMIKE some years ago.

Do you have a rough idea of where these two farms were/are?

There is a Middelpan about 23 miles north of Wakkerstroom (ZAR), and another 50 miles southeast of Bloemhof (OVS).

There is no Bessies Pan listed in the Transvaal farm list, only a Bessie and a Bessie's Laagte.

Yes, that's the same OVS farm that I had found (though located on Jeppe's Map rather than the Imperial Map).
