Members may be interested in this album. It is currently being digitsed by the Asutralian war Memorial and contains 110 photos. The album belonged to professor GAF Molengraaf who was the ZAR State Geologist from 1897. He was ordered to leave Pretoria on 30 June 1900 and left going east the Mocambique back to Holland. The album was gifted to the Memorial by a donor in 2009. How it came to Australia is a mystery. Some of the images in the album I have never seen before.

Molengraaff was an interesting man. He discovered and described the bushveld ingeous complex and did lots of work on the Vredefort Ring, the biggest astrobleme on earth.

Further information on the Molengraaff album; it was gifted to the War Memorial by a great-grandson of the professor. The grandson lives in Australia.
