Found Cecil Charles Francis as a member of the Cape Colony Cyclists corps.
joined 13/4/1901.This is my husbands grandad who was born Caledon Cape Colony about 1888.Ref nominal roll WO127.How can I find out more about him and this Corps ? Thanks

Here is the UK there are few records of the Cape units. If there is anything, it will probably be held by the Cape archives.

I have found in my family 'chest' a QSA 1902 cape colony medal on the side it says 9106 pte.f simes gren gds. Can you help me to find out who 'HE' is??

Welcome to the Forum.
9106 Frederick Simes Grenadier Guards attestation papers are available on Find My Past.
Here are a few details:
Born 1876 Tunbridge Wells Sussex his Father Henry was also from the same town.
He attested aged 42 years 3 months and his occupation states he was a labourer.
He was 6 ft 1 and 168lbs (The tallest I have seen from papers of this time)
He served for 5 years and 302 days.
His clasp entitlement to his QSA was Cape Colony and South Africa 1902.
