You are right - forums such as this open so many doors that otherwise might remain unknown.
Information and detail is the lifeblood which brings the medals to life.
Thanks for the offer of future help - it is perhaps strange that Horace Ford's Tribute medal surfaced in England as the research
I have completed suggests he stayed in South Africa after the war and never returned to England.
Mind you these medals get where water can't sometimes.
