Does anyone know where I can see a PDF. or otherwise get a look at a few pages of this memoir?
"Vir Vryheid En Vir Reg" – Generaal J.C.G. Kemp. 1941 NASIONALE PERS
Kemp was an officer in the Krugersdorp Commando on the Natal front, and fought at Spion Kop.
thanks
Rob

Goeie Middag Henk
I'd love to read Jan Kemp's account of the days 17-26 Jan 1900; I am preparing an account of the battle of Tabanyama.
It is difficult to find eyewitness Boer memoirs; Kemp wrote vividly of Spioenkop, and I am hopeful he will describe the fighting at Tabanyama, since the Krugersdorp Commando held the trenches at the top of Tabanyama.
Would you be able to photograph the relevant pages of those dates and email them to me?
I'd be happy to help you in exchange in some way, if I possibly can.
My email is [email protected]
Groete
Rob

I just wanted to publicly thank Henk Loots for his generosity in scanning and sending me not only Jan Kemp's memoir, but also that of Slechtkamp.
Baie dankie, Henk.
