As far as I know he was in the printing trade, not sure if he was a printer or a linotype Eng. He apparently introduced
my grandmother His daughter (Susan) to my grandfather.
He was also married twice. First marriage to Joyner and second to Havenga. This was in Burgersdorp, they later moved to JHB.

This is the first wife and children of Robert von Kleist. Not sure if he had any more chilren from Catherine. He remarried Gertude Havenga in about 1903-1905. They had 3 children, Robert who passed @ 102years old, my Grandmother Susan @92years, but I have no idea what happened to Magdalene.
