It is that time again when I seek different perspectives on this text from BP's diary.
Underneath the text is written:
Two photographers who had been staying in the Boer camp report 7 guns of modern type there (one of the men was in the German army). Consider there were 4,000 men in camp, Cronje said to be at Polfontein also with guns. Boers say no movement intended till war is declared.
The text on top is more difficult to read:

Corps of cadet orderlies assembled. This will relieve ??? and help to carry on their proper duties.
