Hi All

Can anyone ID the uniforms in this image or shed any kind of light on them? The image is a very poor, and extremely old photostat copy of some kind, of a photograph that was with my grandfathers effects. They are not any of our family members and for a few years now I have been trying to find out if these men are indeed Carbineers? If not, I would also be interested to know where they would be placed? If you can indeed see the image enough to ID I would be very grateful. Thanks very much
