An index of veterinarians who have served in South Africa, not specifically ABW, compiled by the late Dr. P. J. 'Bill' Posthumus. Unfortunately, the biographies only cover surnames A and B, but that does include some men who saw service in the ABW. Look for the index at the left of the page.

I have the complete 2 volumes plus I had his research notes from his daughter . Mainly correspondence and photocopies of obituary notices. With the last of my Boer War QSAs heading west, the file is now with a colleague in the States. There is a similar file at Ondersterpoort. His MBE was for Botswana. Poor man died falling from a ladder.

Thanks for providing that link. Just now, I was able to contact that organisation about detail of the services of James Arthur WORSLEY; who served as a Veterinary Officer between October 1899 and 1902, then to the CMR and then into Civil Employ. I ran across his no-clasp QSA here about five or so years ago and contributed a post on this site some time later.
