Can anybody help, I know he served in South Africa and went on to WW1 service,but did he get the KSA awarded?

Thank you Mike, just as a way of explanation, are the 1901/02 clasps on the QSA the same ones on the KSA?

Yes they would be the same bars as issued on the KSA, your man just did not qualify for the KSA...... Suggest you read Medals and Awards in the Main Menu section on the left hand side......
