Good Morning Everyone......

I had some interesting reading last night...... I found an old article that gave a list of the casualties of the 2nd Special Service Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment and where the Killed / DOW and Disease were originally buried.....

I.E.:

Captain Arnold, H.M., Died of Wounds, Paardeberg, 23/2/1900, Buried: Paardeberg South Side of River 150 Yards .S.W. Of Ford, 200 yards West of House used as Hospital.

Lieutenant Blanchard, M., Died of Wounds, Rhenoster, 15/6/1900, Buried: Kroonstadt Grave No. 7, Lot No. 7

There are a total of 39 Entries........

It also has a list of the Wounded......

I.E.:

February 18th, 1900, “A” Company, 7070 Corporal Loman, A.E., Paardeberg, 9 Wounds Face and Chest, Serious, Survived

February 27th, 1900, “F” Company, 7854 Private Roy, A., Cronje's Laager, 10 Wounds Head and Body, Serious, Mortal, DOW, New South Wales Field Hospital, Burial Ground, South of Modder River and 2 miles West of Cronje's Laager

There are a total of 123 entries.......
