Hi Everyone,

Many thanks for all the helpful and interesting response to my query regarding the possible (now confirmed) photo of the SALH.

Another one now to test your combined knowledge. Attached is a photograph taken (and then scanned badly) of Captain S. N. Tucker giving his obituary, and family background, following his death from wounds on 6 January, 1902.

The publication, of South African origin, was published in January, 1902 - it refers to his death on the "6th inst."

Does anyone know what this publication/paper/journal would have been, and where an original copy might now be found?

Many thanks,
Nick Tucker

That attachment is not readable, I would think that there are a number of members who would enjoy reading it, perhaps you can post images of the actual text or a transcript of the same?

Nick,
I have seen that publication in the Africana Museum in Kimberley. I am trying to think of its name but that escapes me at the moment. If you contact the library, they will be able to tell you.

Good luck
David
