At a fortnightly meeting of the Baron Cranworth Lodge, R.A.O.B., held at the White Hart Hotel, Bro. C. CRANNESS, who has just returned from active service in South Africa, was presented with a handsome jewel, inscribed as follows: – “R.A.O.B.: Presented to Bro. C. Cranness on his return home from the war in South Africa, 20th May, 1901”. The presentation was made by the “sitting primo” (C. Aldous), whose remarks were supplemented by eloquent speeches by the Grand Lodge officers. Bro. Cranness thanked the lodge for their handsome gift and the kind words they had spoken of him.
