At the Blandford Arms Hotel, Blandford Street, last night, Mr Matthew W. JOICEY, who has recently returned from South Africa, was entertained by a few friends. Mr JOICEY was a member of the telegraph corps attached to the Royal Engineers. Mr Jas. Sinclair presided, and there was a good attendance. Mr JOICEY was presented with a gold albert and pendant suitably inscribed. Mr George Waddle made the presentation on behalf of the friends, and the recipient fittingly acknowledged the gift.
