Supper and Presentation. – A supper in connection with the billiard tournament between representatives of H.M.S. Caledonia and Queensferry was held in the Anchor Bar on Wednesday evening. The table was inviting, and the menu, as arranged by Mr Ewan Cameron, was excellent. Mr Charles Johnson was elected chairman, with Mr P. Prosser as croupier. Songs and speeches were the order of the evening, but the opportunity was taken of the gathering to present Messrs GIBB and FORD, reservists, who have lately returned from South Africa, with gold medals from a few of their friends. Mrs Cameron made the presentation, and, after pinning the medals on their breasts, said she was pleased to have the honour of presenting the medals to their friends, Messrs GIBB and FORD, as a token of the esteem in which they were held by the townspeople, and hoped that the recipients would be long spared to wear them. Messrs GIBB and FORD thanked Mrs Cameron for her kindness, and also the subscribers for their generosity. A most happy and enjoyable evening was spent by all present, and the gathering dispersed at midnight with the singing of “God Save the King”.
