A MEXBOROUGH PRESENTATION.

Following a supper at the Mexborough Constitutional Club on Monday night, Mr Horace CARR, of Mexborough, who is going out to South Africa to join the Cape Mounted Police, was presented with a handsome gold medal. Mr CARR has served in the same force during the present campaign, and had the misfortune to be wounded in the arm at Tuli, with Colonel Plumer’s Mafeking Relief Force. The chair was occupied by Mr E. Barron, Mr T. Wigmore filling the vice-chair. The present was made by Mr Jos. Dykes, and a convivial evening was spent.
