PRESENTATION TO A RESERVIST. – Mr John THOMSON, a reservist of the Seaforth Highlanders, having been summoned to join headquarters at Fort George, preparatory to being drafted to South Africa, he was entertained the other evening by his brethren of the Thistle Lodge of Free Gardeners, Kilsyth. Brother George McLellan, W.M., was in the chair. Brother John Comrie, in name of the lodge, presented Brother John THOMSON with a gold appendage and various articles which he hoped would be of use to him in South Africa. He hoped that Brother THOMSON would add lustre both to the Lodge and to his regiment and return to his home safe and sound. Brother THOMSON acknowledged the good wishes of his brethren, stating that he would try to fulfil their expectations.
