PRESENTATION TO A RETURNED SOLDIER.

Trooper Fred WATSON, of the Berry Lancers, who returned from South Africa recently, was at a welcome-home social given in his honour at the National Hall, Kangaroo Valley, on Wednesday evening last presented with a gold pendant, subscribed for by the residents. A dance followed the presentation. There was a large attendance.

WELCOMED HOME.

KANGAROO VALLEY, Saturday. — Sergeant John T. FIELDS, Imperial Bushmen's Contingent, was entertained at a welcome home by the residents of Kangaroo Valley last night. Mr. John Nelson presided, and the attendance was large. Many of the returned soldiers from Berry and Nowra were present. A gold pendant, suitably inscribed, was presented to the guest by Mr W.J. Napier, on behalf of the residents.

KANGAROO VALLEY.

In the National Hall last Friday night, a most cordial welcome home was extended to Sergeant J.T. FIELDS, of the Imperial Bushmen, who has just returned from the South African campaign, after rendering the most creditable service therein. The building was packed to its utmost capacity, and. the affair may safely be described as one of the biggest successes to the valley.
