Several presentations were made in camp today. Veterinary-Lieutenant SHERLOCK and Private BUNNY were presented with gold medals from the Frankston fire brigade and band, and Company Quartermaster-Sergeant SARKIE received a gold locket from the Collingwood Working Men’s Club, and a smoker’s companion from the Army Service Corps.

The fifth (and to be hoped the last) Victorian contingent for South Africa leave our shores tomorrow, the horses being already despatched. Vet.-Lieut. SHERLOCK is in charge of one boat of horses. On Sunday last, on behalf of the Frankston fire brigade, Mr Mark Brody (secretary) presented Lieut. SHERLOCK with a mascotte in the shape of a gold engraved and handsomely chased medal. Private BUNNEY was also the recipient of a similar token of esteem on behalf of the brigade and band. The presentation was made and couched in very eulogistic terms.
