DEVONPORT.

Occasion was taken, on the return of trooper Herbert WILLIAMS to Devonport for a few days holiday, to present him with a gold medal, by his former comrades, as a token of their approbation of patriotism in enlisting for the Tasmanian contingent of the Imperial Australian brigade now proceeding to South Africa. The presentation was made on behalf of the donors by the Rev J.L.
