An enthusiastic welcome home was tendered lo Trooper J.J. NOONAN, of the 5th Contingent, visitors attending from Elmhurst and Mount Cole. A lengthy picogramme of songs and recitations was gone through, a break being made at 10 o'clock for refreshments; after which the chairman, Mr Boatman, in a neat speech, presented the guest with a handsome gold medal, suitably inscribed. Mr H. Boatman and Mr A. James also spoke. The recipient returned thanks in a feeling speech. The concert was then resumed and continued until 12 o'clock. The following rendered selections: — Messrs Burn, Ord, Padgett, Boatman, Noonan, Morse, Joseph Tait, Misses Ebsworthy, McGuiness. Noonan, Mrs Noonan and Mrs Kolpin. A duet by Mrs S. Ord and Joseph Tait was well received. Messrs James and Farish gave recitations. Miss Ebsworthy and Miss McGuiness received hearty encores. Mrs S. Ord acted throughout as a very efficient accompanist.
