Last week Trooper C. WEBSTER was presented with an address and gold pendant from Ballina people. The pendant consisted of a shield, supported by a Lancer on one side and a Bushman on the other, with the inscription: “Presented to C. Webster, of N.S. Wales Lancers, 1900. South African War”. The obverse side contained the words “Modder River, Magersfontein, Graspan, Belmont, 1899, 1900. For the Empire”.
