ALBION PARK, Monday.

Mr Frederick BROWNLEE, son of Mr John Brownlee, J.P., of Yellow Rock, who is leaving this week for service in South Africa, was entertained by his fellow riflemen, and members of the Albion Park Civilian Rifle Club at the Commercial Hotel on Saturday evening. On behalf of the club, Mr H. Fryer, J.P. (the president) presented Private BROWNLEE with a gold pendant suitably inscribed. Felicitous speeches were made by Mr Fryer, the Mayor, Mr Mood, J.P., and other gentlemen.
