Moir | George Gordon | | Lieutenant | Died of enteric May 18th, 1900, at Bloemfontein. He was the eldest son of Captain J G Moir, of the 19th Foot, was 28 years of age, and educated at Marlborough. He was temporarily attached to the 1st Battalion King's Own Scottish Borderers from the 3rd battalion from January 4th, 1900. Lieutenant Moir's name was inscribed on a tablet placed in Marlborough College Chapel in memory of all Marlburians who fell in the war.
