Robison | Henry William Stuart | | Lieutenant | He died at Freiberg, Baden, December 23rd, 1901, from the effects of disease contracted on service in the Soudan and South Africa. He was the son of S G Robison, RN, and was born in March 1877, and educated at Allhallowes School, Honiton. He entered the Manchester Regiment in October 1899, having previously served over four and a half years in the ranks, and was promoted Lieutenant May 1900. Before receiving his commission he served in the Soudan, being awarded the medal and bronze star, and in the South African Campaign he had held the position of Railway Staff Officer. He took part in the relief of Ladysmith, and was mentioned in despatches, LG, February 8th, 1901.
