Price | Sir Rose | | Lieutenant | He was killed in action, near Villiersdorp, June 9th, 1901. He was the son of Sir Rose Lambart Price, 3rd baronet, of Trengwainton, Cornwall, by his marriage with Isabella, daughter of William Tarleton. Sir Rose Price was born in July 1879, and entered the King's Royal Rifle Corps from the 3rd Battalion York and Lancaster Regiment, in October 1899, being promoted Lieutenant November 1900. He proceeded to South Africa in November 1899, and served with the 3rd Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps with the Ladysmith relief force, and took part in the fighting on the Tugela and the subsequent advance into the Transvaal.
