Foster | William Herbert | | Captain | He died at Claremont Sanatorium, February 18th, 1900. He was born November 12th, 1868, and educated at Shrewsbury School, where he played in the cricket XI. He entered the Royal Marines September 1st, 1888, was promoted Lieutenant September 1889, transferred to the Army Service Corps January 1893, being promoted Captain July 1896. He embarked for South Africa in October 1899, and served in Cape Colony. (See Capt Moor)
