Ramsay | Nigel Neis | | Lieutenant | He was killed in action at Magersfontein December 11th, 1899. He was born in 1876, educated at Winchester, and joined the Royal Highlanders in September 1896, being promoted Lieutenant August 1898. Lieutenant Ramsay sailed with his battalion for South Africa in November 1899, and joined the Kimberley Relief Force under Lieutenant General Lord Methuen just before the battle of Magersfontein, in which he fell.
