Parker | James Herbert | | Lieutenant | He was killed in action at Houtnek, May 1st, 1900. He was educated at Harrow. He was a nephew of Kitchener, ie a son of his sister, Mrs Frances (Millie) Parker. Her husband was farming in New Zealand (Kurow, Otago), and James was in the 2nd New Zealand Contingent as a Corporal before being commissioned as a Lieutenant in Kitchener's Horse.
