Milligan | F W | | Lieutenant | He was killed in action at Ramathlabama, near Mafeking, March 31st, 1900. He was educated at Eton and was a famous Yorkshire cricketer. He formed one of a relieving force, under Colonel Plumer, endeavouring to reach Mafeking, but, being fiercely attacked by the Boers on the date mentioned, they were compelled to retreat. Lieutenant Milligan and Captain Crew Robertson were killed. A brass tablet was placed in Lowmoor Church, Yorkshire, in memory of Lieutenant Milligan.
